Fall Fest Band and Strings

St. Dominic Band is offered to 4th through 8th grade students.

• Beginner Band is for 4th graders only.  Lessons start in September and move into group band after Christmas.  Lessons are on Friday during school.

• Intermediate Band is for 5th - 6th graders with or without experience.  Intermediate Band meets on Mondays after school until 3:30 p.m. in the Marcy Center.

• Advanced Band is for 7th - 8th graders.  Advanced Band meets 2:30 p.m.-3:15 p.m. on Thursdays at St.John Vianney in their presentation hall.

• Jazz Band is for 6th - 8th graders by invitation only.  Jazz Band is from 7:10 a.m.-7:50 a.m. on Wednesdays at St. John Vianney in their presentation hall.

• Private and semi-private lessons for 5th - 8th grades are before and during the school days on Monday and Tuesday.

Band is a full year activity.  Parents sign up in September for the entire year but pay for the 1^st semester in September and the 2^nd semester in January.

5th - 8th grade bands play for the Christmas Concert in December at St. John Vianney because of logistics.  The 4th graders have their own first concert at the end of the 1^st semester in January.  The spring concerts are in May at both St. Dominic’s and St. John Vianney for all band members.  There are always other concerts throughout the year: open houses, other schools, solo and ensemble contests, games, etc.
