to be ready for a Sunday, May 18 unveiling and dedication presided
by Archbishop Dolan after the 9:00 AM Mass along with a May Crowning
Prayer Service and Reception.. |

| The development of the cast bronze
Crucifix for the Prayer Gardens began nearly three years ago with a
sketch. The cross was inspired by the geometric lines of the
architecture of the church and bell tower. After the sketch was
approved, the crucifix was modeled in clay. Several adjustments
were made to evoke the desired depiction of Our Lord.
We are grateful to all who have helped so far by generously planting
"Seeds of Giving" as our parish Prayer Gardens continue to take shape.
We are very thankful for the generous gift of Marge Healy, who sponsored
our new Crucifix, in memory of her special daughter, Mary.
May God continue to bless this unfolding gift to present and future
parishioners as this area of our parish grounds is being transformed
into a sacred space, holy ground! |
